Hey everyone,
It is so good to make an announcement like this after usually making “sad day” announcements. The LHS Hall of Fame committee recently made the announcement that our own Cheryl Bader Thornton from our Class of 1965 is one of two LHS grads to be selected this year for induction into the “LHS Hall of Fame”. Cheryl is the first out of our Class of 1965 to ever be selected.
Please see attachment for the actual copy of the announcement Cheryl received along with details of the upcoming ceremony to celebrate the occasion, to which you are all invited. Be sure to check out the Trophy Case where Cheryl’s award will be on display.
Also, see attachment, a brief description of Cheryl’s path through her music career after graduating with us in 1965 from LHS.
Also, see attachment, an announcement from the Music Teachers National Association Foundation bestowing an honor on Cheryl last year.
Congratulations, Cheryl, on making such a huge impact over the years with your music performances and teaching abilities that have literally touched the lives of so many people.
